Josh has recently joined forces with Guyan & Associates and will be heading up all M&E contracting in the North West region – with a focus on permanent recruitment for Major Projects.

Typical roles include: Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, Bid & Procurement Managers and Site Managers.

Conveniently situated in Manchester, Josh brings over three-years solid experience in M&E recruitment. And having worked on the consultancy side of Building Services, Design and also Facilities Management – he is able to offer a thorough understanding of the whole Design, Build, Operate & Manage (DBOM) process.

In his spare time, newly-married, Josh is Captain of a local football team and when he’s not on the pitch, you’ll find him and his acoustic guitar on stage in Manchester. A singer/song writer since he was 11-years-old, Josh is proud of his city’s underground music scene and often plays solo gigs when he’s not working.


Job Description


Are you an experienced Construction Manager with a demostrable history of on site project delivery? Are you a capable communicator able to coordinate a variety of trades on a multidisciplinary project?

Our client, a UK leading Contractor within the efficient energy industry, are seeking a Construction Canager for a  scheme taking place across Leeds.

Acting as the liason between site and senior management, you will have exprience in the management and coordination of a number of directly procured trades, including Groundworks/Civils, M&E etc.

About This Role



As the Construction Manager your duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • To ensure that all installations are carried out with the maximum efficiency, to the highest quality and to the company’s standard on all key issues
  • To manage the labour and ensure that all works are installed to the company standard and maintain a safe working environment
  • Monitor and record works to enable hand over
  • Identify and obtain relevant information in order to plan works
  • Determine methods of works
  • Determine programme of works
  • Establish and maintain on–site administrative systems
  • Establish and maintain quality procedures
  • Provide information to enable the completion of works
  • Provide information on methods and programmes.
  • Provide information on site organisation and systems
  • Determine resource requirements for works
  • Procure materials for the execution of works
  • Monitor and control supply of materials
  • Monitor and control sub-contract operations
  • Monitor and control use and deployment of plant and equipment
  • Procure sub-contractors to meet ongoing requirements
  • Procure plant and equipment for the execution of work
