Conveniently situated in Manchester, Josh brings over three-years solid experience in M&E recruitment. And having worked on the consultancy side of Building Services, Design and also Facilities Management – he is able to offer a thorough understanding of the whole Design, Build, Operate & Manage (DBOM) process.

In his spare time, newly-married, Josh is Captain of a local football team and when he’s not on the pitch, you’ll find him and his acoustic guitar on stage in Manchester. A singer/song writer since he was 11-years-old, Josh is proud of his city’s underground music scene and often plays solo gigs when he’s not working.

Job Description

 

Are you an M&E Quantity Surveyor wanting guaranteed work in the North West? Do you want to work for a tier contractor who provide an excellent working environment coupled with progression opportunities?

We are currently recruiting to a series of projects in the Manchester and Lancashire on behalf of this national contractor with a first class reputation and would be interested in speaking with experienced QS's in the region.

About This Role

 

M&E Quantity Surveyor is required to provide commercial, contractual and financial management to projects within the assigned Region. Primary role will be to ensure project profit objectives and targets are met and cash is managed to maximise cash performance. Candidate will be required to diligently apply proper contractual and commercial practices and carefully manage risk to maximise the financial effectiveness and profitability of the projects under his / hers responsibility. Candidate will be responsible for a project or a number of smaller projects.

 
Role will include the following:
 
·        All quantity surveying duties including measurement, valuation and agreement of relevant work sections
·        Preparation and agreement of interim applications and final accounts
·        Interim administration and settlement of subcontractors accounts
·        Assisting in preparation of loss and expense submissions
·        Negotiate with clients representatives and other consultants
·        Advise on commercial risks within the project or projects
·        Preparation of monthly contract reviews
·        Preparation of monthly management accounts information
·        Identify change and implement change control process and agreement
