Josh has recently joined forces with Guyan & Associates and will be heading up all M&E contracting in the North West region – with a focus on permanent recruitment for Major Projects.

Typical roles include: Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, Bid & Procurement Managers and Site Managers.

Conveniently situated in Manchester, Josh brings over three-years solid experience in M&E recruitment. And having worked on the consultancy side of Building Services, Design and also Facilities Management – he is able to offer a thorough understanding of the whole Design, Build, Operate & Manage (DBOM) process.

In his spare time, newly-married, Josh is Captain of a local football team and when he’s not on the pitch, you’ll find him and his acoustic guitar on stage in Manchester. A singer/song writer since he was 11-years-old, Josh is proud of his city’s underground music scene and often plays solo gigs when he’s not working.

About This Role


Job Purpose:

To manage the manufacturing function of our clients Off Site & Pre Fabrication unit, safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
To manage and take ownership of the overall administration, control, planning, programming and progress of our client works.
To manage the supervision, training and development of factory operatives.
To manage direct reports.
To manage staff costs.
To manage the health & safety in the factory – upkeep/maintenance of all safety records, safety files and RA/MS.
To prepare and finalise our clients project forecasts.
To be responsible for procurement, hire, maintenance and management of factory tooling and equipment.
To be responsible for factory maintenance/improvement and liaison with SHID FM.
To be responsible for maintaining, developing and improving upon QA accreditation.
To co-ordinate transport and logistics.
To prepare and issue weekly progress reports on all projects.
To drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through the factory
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Building services experience or Factory Management experience
Ability to lead individuals and team toward success in a motivational way, ensuring clarity and toughness as required.
Experience of dealing with company HR procedures e.g. disciplinary, capability
Strong communication skills
Competent on Outlook/Word/Excel.
Proven record of being customer focused
Proven record of financial success
Profit aware
Ability to adapt solutions to ideas and opportunities
