Josh has recently joined forces with Guyan & Associates and will be heading up all M&E contracting in the North West region – with a focus on permanent recruitment for Major Projects.

Typical roles include: Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, Bid & Procurement Managers and Site Managers.

Conveniently situated in Manchester, Josh brings over three-years solid experience in M&E recruitment. And having worked on the consultancy side of Building Services, Design and also Facilities Management – he is able to offer a thorough understanding of the whole Design, Build, Operate & Manage (DBOM) process.

In his spare time, newly-married, Josh is Captain of a local football team and when he’s not on the pitch, you’ll find him and his acoustic guitar on stage in Manchester. A singer/song writer since he was 11-years-old, Josh is proud of his city’s underground music scene and often plays solo gigs when he’s not working.

About This Role

 

As a major player in the energy and utilities sector, our client specialise in installing and providing alternative energy sources to a variety of end users. Working as part of the Smart metering and Billing team, you will be responsible for the development of new business streams based on the tried and tested, energy efficient, money saving model the business is able to provide. 

As a Business Development Executive, you will liaise with a variety of end users in both the public and private sectors. 

Key attributes

  • Good knowledge of smart metering and billing industry, ideally with an understanding of District Heating Networks and a background in a similar area. 
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Demonstrate good people skills, communication skills, and positive team spirit
  • Able to present and discuss proposal negotiations with consortium partners, clients and their representatives
  • Demonstrate good analytic, numeric, literacy skills. 
  • Knowledge of value for money analysis, market testing, value engineering and sustainability matters
  • Experience of working with clients at a senior level
  • Promoting the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Fully understand the client / consortium needs, evaluating different options to fulfil them, and propose best solutions in a reasonable, professional way
  • Manage the client relationship, acting as key point of contact for the client at senior level when required
