MEP Cad Duct Co-ordinator

Job Description

 

 

To carry out the spatial co-ordination of all M&E services as required, which will both meet his requirements as well as contribute to the company. In addition, this must be within set time and budget constraints.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Drawings:
  • Spatial co-ordination of all services associated with a specific project
  • Carrying out design development where required
  • Produce 3D modelling (Cad Duct) drawings and walkthroughs
  • Survey area prior to commencement of drawings
  • Survey installation on site for record drawings
 
Liaison with Project Team (external to client):
  • Communication with team through letter or e-mail
  • Work well within the team
 
Administration:
  • Follow set QA procedures
  • Formulate progress reports
  • Allocate time with respect to variations etc
 
Liaison with internal department:
  • Motivate other CAD team members
  • Work well within the team
  • Understanding the client’s requirements
  • Liaise with and provide information to contracts team
 
Key Skills:
  • Computer literate and able to use software programs to carry out co-ordination drawing Works
  • Knowledge to judge whether computer generated drawings are within the expected parameters
  • Knowledge to carry out design development
  • Knowledge and understanding of 2D and 3D CAD systems (Cad Duct)
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable regulations, codes of practice and professional institution guides and recommendations
  • Knowledge and understanding of building services specifications
  • Understanding of the operations interface and the site installation process
  • Knowledge and understanding of the tender process
  • Knowledge and understanding of environmental issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of draughting time and cost parameters
  • General knowledge of the building process
  • Understanding of financial procedures / project cost control
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance procedures
