Commercial Manager

Job Description

 

As the Commercial Manager your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Measuring and describing M&E and / or building and / or civil engineering construction work including the preparation of tender documentation and negotiation with contractors
  • Preparing and using detailed budgets and cost plans
  • Preparing and interpreting turnover / cash flow projections and profit / loss forecasts
  • Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
  • Preparing interim applications for payment
  • Preparation and presentation of financial control / WIP documentation
  • The preparation and agreement of final accounts
  • Management and control of major projects within the construction and related industries
  • Deal with significant contractual issues including extensions of time, loss and or expense claims, terms and conditions etc
  • Achievement of personal fee billing target
  • Recruitment / selection of members of staff
  • Manage and develop subordinates, potentially including junior management, to a designated fee billing target (dependent on team)
  • Assist in development of regional business plan and play an effective role in its execution
  • Generate new business sales for the organisation through marketing and retaining clients
